Going the Extra Mile – Because That’s What She Deserved
We were recently called out to help an elderly lady who was concerned about water damage appearing in her ceiling. She’d already had two other companies inspect the issue — one told her it was just old damage and to paint over it, and the other watched the water meter for ten minutes before deciding there wasn’t a leak. Both charged her a callout fee, yet her concerns remained unresolved.
She was referred to us by a long-time client, and after hearing her story, we knew we needed to take a closer look. Climbing through the roof space, we discovered the real problem: two damaged tiles — one cracked right through and the other with a small hole. With winter rains already settling in, it was important to act quickly. As soon as the weather gave us a break, we got up on the roof and replaced the tiles to prevent further damage.
While inspecting the affected area inside, we also noticed her toilet was leaking. Thankfully, it was a straightforward fix that didn’t require any new parts — so we sorted it on the spot, at no extra charge.
